How to File a Claim

Step 1

  1. Time, date, and location

  2. Description of what happened

  3. Photos of damage (if possible)

  4. Any police or incident reports

  5. List of involved parties, their insurance info and witnesses.

Step 3

Submit Documentation

We'll supply claim forms. Submit completed forms via email or form below - whichever is most convenient for you.
Step 4

    Frequently asked questions

We know the claims process can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re focused on keeping your business moving. That’s why we’ve answered some of the most common questions our clients ask, so you’ll know what to expect every step of the way.
Do I need to report every incident?
Yes — even minor damage or potential claims. Not reporting early can delay processing and reduce coverage options.
How long does a claim take?
It depends on severity, documentation, and repairs. But we strive to resolve standard claims quickly and communicate each stage of the process.
What if the other party is at fault?
We will guide you through subrogation or third-party claims as necessary, to help you recover costs through the at-fault party’s carrier when applicable.
What should I do at the scene of an accident?
Safety first. Call emergency services if needed, move to a safe location if possible, and gather all relevant information (photos, driver and witness details, police report). Then notify FleetGuard USA as soon as you can.
Will filing a claim affect my premium?
Not always. Each situation is reviewed individually, and factors like fault, severity, and claim history determine if premiums are impacted. We’ll explain your options clearly before any changes are made.
Can I choose my own repair shop?
Yes. While we have trusted repair partners for faster turnaround and preferred rates, you always have the right to choose your own repair shop.
